About I live and work in Cape Town, South Africa. I originate from Harare, Zimbabwe where I did the majority of my schooling. I discovered Cape Town in 1987 and have loved living in the
Cape ever since.
Photography has been an extension of me for as long as I can remember. After spending
26 years in the Flexographic Printing Industry, I finally decided to change direction and take pleasure in earning my keep through my photography, professionally. As I greet each day with a smile, I wonder what I shall be challenged with in the hours to come. I believe I am approachable and happy to mould my skills in to most requests. I shoot with Nikon cameras in Camera RAW format, which I process in Adobe Camera Raw.
If you are not familiar with RAW, in a nutshell it is just like having your roll of film developed at a shop, however done digitally now. Each image is tweaked through Adobe Camera Raw software to bring out the best detail and colours that the sensor within the camera has captured. This takes a great deal of skill and time beyond the initial shoot. Today’s digital technology world is ever changing and it is up to us, the photographers, to choose which parts of technology suits our style of photography best.
